Navigating the NDIS and sharing your disability story

Are you a person with disability or a family member, friend, carer, advocate or supporter living in WA’s Mid West region?

Come along to an information session near you to find out how you can access free support from two disability legal services in WA:

NDIS Appeals Team – Legal Aid WA

The NDIS Appeals Team assists people with disability and their families who are appealing NDIS internal review decisions at the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT). We can provide advice on the AAT process and support people appealing changes to their NDIS plan, or decisions on access to the NDIS.

Your Story Disability Legal Support

Your Story Disability Legal Support is a free national service that gives independent legal advice and support to anyone considering sharing their story with the Disability Royal Commission. Your Story can support people with disability, as well as their families, friends, carers, advocates and supporters, to safely make a submission by 31 December 2022.

Lawyers from each service will be available to provide information, as well as legal advice, referrals, and support to book follow-up appointments.

Events will be held in the following locations:

• Kalbarri – Tuesday 1 November from 9.30am to 11.30am at The Allen Centre, 70 Grey Street, Kalbarri
• Northampton – Tuesday 1 November from 2pm to 4pm at Northampton Community Centre, 52 Harvey Rd, Northampton
• Geraldton – Thursday 3 November from 11am to 2pm at Geraldton Multipurpose Centre, 250 Marine Terrace, Geraldton
