Silva, National Project Officer and NSW Stakeholder Engagement Manager
I have a history of frontline service delivery and leading teams across the NSW Department of Justice, with previous experience in Corrective Services, Juvenile Justice, NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal and NSW Trustee and Guardian.
I am now on secondment to Legal Aid for the duration of the Disability Royal Commission period as the National Project Officer and NSW Stakeholder Engagement Manager at Your Story Disability Legal Support.
A proud advocate of women in martial arts, I also worked and lived in Japan for a number of years, working with and training the Tokyo riot police at the world headquarters of Yoshinkan Aikido. There, I lobbied for and was one of the first women worldwide to be allowed and accepted into an elite international one year, full–time instructor training program run by the International Yoshinkan Aikido Federation in conjunction with the Japanese riot police organisation.
